Creation of Bronze

The first step of the process of creating a bronze work is sculpting the original work.

Ascension as a clay sculpture before bronzing.

Creation of Bronze Pieces - This type of bronze is known as Herculoy Bronze. Clay is sculpted for the classic look and cast in bronze utilizing the lost wax technique.  Hand tooled and patina in the tradition of bronze casting. The finished piece is sealed in a protective coat of wax to provide many years of enjoyment.

A limited number of bronze castings are created from each unique sculpture. After the last casting in bronze, the mold is broken at a studio party never to be used again. All bronze works are signed, dated and numbered for authenticity.
